Whenever we talk about the online chatting app, the first thing that comes in our mind is none other than WhatsApp ( by Facebook). Whatsapp is the most used online chatting app all over the world. People used to share there personal information and many more things on this app, so what about its security and safety of our data?
Till now people have to use app lock by some other publishers or some phone provide in-built Applock to protect their WhatsApp or to secure your information.
But know, in the recent update of WhatsApp, we can see some amazing features. One of the features is that there is a fingerprint lock which when enabled requires your fingerprint (that were already present in your phone) to unlock and access your chats.
Now the question arises, how to enable this lock and make our chats secure and protect our information.
How to enable Fingerprint lock?
Here are the following steps which you have to follow to enable WhatsApp fingerprint lock:
- Open WhatsApp, the Home screen of WhatsApp will appear on your device.
- On the upper right side, you will find three dots, click on them.
- Menu having various options (such as WhatsApp web, New group, New broadcast, Started messages, Settings) will appear.
- Click on Settings
- The new menu will appear on your screen having options as shown in the below pic.
- The first option on that menu bar will be Account, Click on that.
- Now you will find a menu having “Privacy” on top of it. Click on “Privacy”.
- Now at the bottom of that section, you will find the fingerprint lock option, Just click on it and activate “Unlock with Fingerprint” and verify your finger once.
- Note: If your finger is not already stored in the device than it will decline your request of enabling fingerprint lock. So be sure that your fingerprint is already registered in the device.
By following the above-mentioned steps you can enable the WhatsApp fingerprint lock.
