Boycott China and Chinese products are the new campaign started in India. This campaign was started recently and got so much support from the Indian audience. There are so many reasons to start this campaign, some of them are territorial conflict between India and China, low quality of goods, and the most recent and main reason is the COVID-19.
The strain that COVID-19 is Chinese originated virus is the main cause for the starting of this campaign. Till now there are more than 2 lakhs cases in India and in the world, there are more than 65 crore cases.
Even we know that there are so many Chinese goods in India and it is not possible to boycott all those suddenly but in long term we can find alternate of all those products. And making those goods in India will also generate employment and promote “MAKE IN INDIA” concept.

Chinese Smartphone Brand Name and there Share in Indian market
Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus are some of the biggest smartphone brands.
Till now Xiaomi is the biggest smartphone brand in India and covers 27% share in the Indian market. Realme has an 8% share in the Indian market, Vivo has a 21% share and Oppo has a 12% share.
For Premium smartphones segment
In India currently there are three major brands (which covers 80% of the premium smartphone market share) : Apple, Samsung and OnePlus.
There are some other brand also like ASUS, Vivo and Google in premium segment but they as a combined has 20% premium smartphone market share.
Out of these three major brands, OnePlus is the Chinese smartphone brand. And OnePlus has recently launched OnePlus 8 series globally and for India, it has launched a special edition of OnePlus 8.
As per the data around 158 million smartphones were shipped to India in 2019 and India has the second biggest smartphone market after china.
Why India has so many Chinese smartphone consumers?
China has the biggest assembly line for smartphone manufacturing, so the smartphones that they manufacture there cost them low and they can make much profit by selling them in other countries. China provides features at an affordable cost than other countries, that’s the main reason why it holds most of the shares in the smartphone industry in our country.
As the data above shows that it is not easy to boycott Chinese goods and smartphones all of a sudden. This campaign will not succeed until the Indian Government took a step towards it. If the government ensures Indian smartphone users that they will get more reliable smartphones with the “Made in India” tag than the user won’t buy any Chinese smartphones.
So we all have to stand together and trying to avoid Chinese goods and smartphones as much as possible. Support the campaign of Boycott china and Chinese smartphones.
